May 2016 – Dates to be Announced Soon!
Attend the world’s most prestigious ballroom competition: the Blackpool Dance Festival! From here, experience the gorgeous Lake District and historic Bath, ending with five spectacular days in 2012’s Olympic city, London. Enjoy all of the rich history, shopping and entertainment the grand city has to offer!

Stay at the De Vere Village Blackpool – Heron’s Reach, the city’s most modern hotel complete with an 18-hole championship golf course and pampering spa. Dine at Buca di Beppo, the hotel’s authentic Italian restaurant. Then we head out to the historic Winter Gardens, home of the Blackpool Dance Festival, established in 1920 and the most famous dance competition in the world. The competition begins with the Amateur Latin Rising Stars, Senior Ballroom and Professional Latin Rising Stars.

Dine at Kwizeen, which specializes in local seasonal ingredients and where reservations must be made far in advance. Tonight it’s the Amateur Ballroom Rising Stars, Under 21 Latin and the World Invitational Team Match, one of the most exciting events at the Festival.

The ever informative and always entertaining Dance Congress starts the day at Winter Gardens. Take in some of the lectures by the world’s top dancers.
Tour to the breathtaking Lake District, home to inspired poets and writers including William Wordsworth, Samuel Coleridge and Beatrix Potter. As evening falls, we stop in to feast at the Sharrow Bay Country House Hotel, internationally renowned for its gorgeous lakeside views and elegant cuisine and wines. We’ll be back in time to see the Professional Ballroom Rising Stars, the Senior Latin and the Amateur Latin qualifying heats.

Spend your day relaxing and enjoying the sights. With the onset of evening, we meet at award-winning AJ’s Bistro, one of Blackpool’s top restaurants serving tantalizing, locally sourced ingredients. Right around the corner is Winter Gardens and the Amateur Latin and Under 21 Ballroom events.

Gather for a gourmet feast before enjoying the Professional Latin, Ballroom Formation and Amateur Ballroom categories. Dine at Michael Wan’s Mandarin Restaurant. Then off to the Amateur Ballroom and Theatrical Championships. Then the Professional Ballroom finale, plus the Latin Formation teams compete, including Michael Chapman’s team from Brigham Young University. Bring your pom poms and cheer them on!

Bid Blackpool adieu before boarding a private shuttle for London and our fabulous luxury hotel. Enjoy a fantastic dining experience at Rules steakhouse, London’s oldest restaurant, established in 1798 and famous for its classic British and wild game dishes. Afterwards, we’re off to Her Majesty’s Theatre for that perennial thriller: Phantom of the Opera!

Then it’s off to Bath, perhaps the most ancient spa in existence at nearly 2000 years! Established by the Romans, circa 60 AD, this World Heritage Site continues to dazzle visitors with its beauty and cultural splendors. On our return to London, we stop at the lovely Savoy Hotel for that most British of traditions: a spot of afternoon tea. Then we’re off to dinner at one of London’s hot spots!

Have a shopping marathon at Harrods Department Store. With one million square feet of retail space to cover, we’ll be lunching there too. Fear not, it’s delicious. Watch performers in a spectacular performance by the Royal Ballet. Dine and dancing on a cruise down the Thames! It’s an evening fit for king and queen!
